What is Imagesa maritime agency?

IMAGE SA is a shipping agency specialist on providing door-to-door services with more than 25 years of experience on import & export logistic services in Equatorial Guinea. During this period we have built a strong reputation focused on high-quality services to established close long-term relationships with our customers.

The strength of our human capital and the coverage of the our international charter’s network we work with, has helped to enhance the development of Equatorial Guinea, by supporting different projects such us; hospitals, social housing, road, airports, colleagues, and many other different infrastructures.

What are the Incoterms? How do I determine which Incoterm do I have to use?

Incoterms are 11 standardized definitions of commonly used shipping and trade terms that cover such issues as control of goods and financial responsibilities, including payment of cargo insurance and freight.

They provide traders with a common set of rules, outlining each party’s obligations, thus reducing misunderstandings. You’ll want to discuss with your trading partner what its requirements are and how.

Can I insure my shipment?

IMAGESA do not provide this service, if final client desire to have full coverage upon cargo in case can exits damage, this must be conducted by final client independently.

How can I get a quotation?

Depending on the INCOTERM or service required, we can quote all the logistics services either in Equatorial Guinea or abroad to fulfill our client requirements.

Which kinds of containers does Imagesa offer?

Containers are metal enclosures of standard sizes but, as many things in life, one size or type just couldn’t suit every need. That’s why there are (mainly) two sizes of containers (20′ and 40′) and besides the standard closed unit some specialized others.

IMAGESA offers all kind of containers such as; Dry van, Open Top, Flat Rack, High Cube, reefer and also Isotanks, depending on your needs. If you desire to know the differences between them and also which one would suit your needs, you can click here to access an explanatory page that we’ve prepared for you.

But rest assured that this is not something that you have to know in detail. You have only to let us know what your next shipment is, and our commercial department will advise you which the best option for your cargo is.

How can I know where my shipment is?
In case I want to sent a partial cargo, what should I do?

We don’t only carry out FCL (Full container load) shipments; we also provide LCL (Less than container load) services, which mean that if you have less than one container to be sent, we can do it for you.

IMAGESA provides these services in a regular basis only from Valencia port.

Can I bring my goods to a warehouse to be loaded in the container?

Yes, we offer this service only from Valencia Port. We can provide a warehouse where your cargo can be stuffed, reinforced if needed and then loaded into a container.

What type of goods can be transported with your company?

Be aware that through IMAGESA we can ship any type of goods through our different vessel’s options; port containers, RORO or break bull cargo. We have the availability to offer regular services from any of them; weekly, every fifteen days or monthly respectively.

For containerized cargo, any type of household goods can be shipped, such as: furniture, clothing, appliances (washing machines, dryers, small appliances) etc. The following goods are forbidden to be shipped: any type of weapon, undeclared goods, prohibited substances.

Also note that personal vehicles can also be shipped, but it is necessary to be informed about the type of restrictions at port of destination.

Any other type of cargo (RoRo or Break Bulk) can be shipped. Please get in touch with our commercial department, they will inform you accordingly.

The exporter must be aware that the container may reach temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius or 125 degrees Fahrenheit. For this reason we strongly recommend not to ship goods sensitive to high temperatures.

Do ships travel directly or they have stop-off ports on their routes?

Be informed that some routes do have stop-off ports and some do not, depending on the shipping line. Our commercial department will inform you accordingly once receiving your inquiry.

How many hours are included for loading/discharging a container?

You have 2 hours to load the container. After that you will be charged for each additional hour. If you know in advance that you will need more than three hours for loading your cargo please let us know in advance.
